The gems used are non-toxic, lead-free crystals or gold gems, all of which are safe for oral use. They are bonded to the tooth with dental adhesive, typically used for securing brackets. This process does not cause any damage to the tooth.
If a gem falls off, residual adhesive may remain on the tooth. This can be easily removed during your next visit at a dentist. (Please note that I do not offer removal of tooth gems.)
Tooth gems must be placed on a flat surface, meaning not every tooth is suitable for this application. Additionally, gems cannot adhere to false, crowned, or capped teeth.
After the application, it is recommended that you refrain from eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes. Avoid picking at or playing with the gem as well.
On average, a tooth gem lasts up to six months, although this duration can vary. Factors such as aftercare, diet, and the acidity of your mouth can influence the gem’s longevity.
GUARANTEE
If your Swarovski gem falls off within the first month, I will replace it free of charge. For gold gems, I can only reapply, not replace, so if it falls off, please do not lose the gem.
